Kevin is still raising money for his legal defense. His attorney is one of the best and is pulling out all the stops for this Third Circuit Court Appeal. Remember, it is not only Kevin's freedom that is on the line, but also the future of our movement to advocate abolition and a rights-based agenda. We want him out NOW, and we want case law that re-establishes our constitutional right to free speech (putting the names of and home addresses of executives involved in animal research is not terrorism; has wwwdotfouroneonedotcom been indicted on terrorism charges? Has the SEIU been indicted on terrorism for their residential pickets? Only time will tell.)

RAISE Your Voice!

While Kevin may be gone from behind the megaphone, you are not, and it is important to continue to work for the compassionate and non-violent goals we all share with him. Even though this is a scary time for activism in the U.S., there are many legal and effective ways to voice your dissent against animal cruelty. Please do this. Nothing would cheer Kevin's spirits more than knowing we are all still pushing ahead.

Educate Others

  • Learn about the six (yes SIX) investigations inside of Huntingdon Life Sciences. Learn why HLS is currently $100 million dollars in debt (hint, it has to do with their animal cruelty and sloppy science). Check out www.shac.net.
  • Learn about and educate others as to the harmful effects of animal research to BOTH humans and non-human animals. Check out www.curedisease.com.
  • Learn why people who run a website with the names and home addresses of executives of animal testing facilities are being charged with terrorism and are receiving longer sentences than people who burn buildings to the ground. Check out: www.greenisthenewred.com and www.shac7.com.
  • Set up information stalls and help spread the word.
  • Write letters to the editor of your local newspaper.

Letters are important, but keep this in mind.

Here is part of a article/letter from Kevin in Bite Back magazine #12

I want to thank everyone who has taken time to write me a letter, buy my doggies some treats, or otherwise demonstrate their solidarity. These were heart-felt expressions I was touched by. Being in prison though shouldn't be the same as being in a popularity contest though and sometimes that's what this feels like, generating lots of "fan-mail." Yeah, sometimes I get bored, depressed and feel bad for myself, but so what. I will survive prison and a six-year absence, but will those beagles survive anything inside of Huntingdon? Will this campaign survive the unconstitutional assault of the new AETA? Will this once liberation based movement survive the lack of imagination and courage of its so-called leaders with the Humane Society or academic ivory towers? Only you hold the affirmative answers to these questions in your actions.

With that in mind I'd like to suggest we re-channel some of the overwhelming support you've offered me vis-a-vis your correspondence into some different directions. At your next prisoner letter-writing party when it comes time to pen me a little pep talk instead take that 10 or 20 minutes and do something positive for animal rights. The best support I can receive is to know instead of the pen you've picked up the placard in pursuit of a just cause.

With that said, Kevin's address is:
